About NUIG Women’s Rugby

NUIG once again competed in Varsity Rugby League and Connacht League during the 2012-2013 season. This season, the club made it into the Division 1 CUSAI final, losing to reigning champions UL and to the semi-final of Connacht League losing to Buccaneers (eventual winners). The team missed out on Varsities due to adverse weather in Belfast but it has still been the most successful season in years.

Training will start up again next September, so be sure to come up to Dangan Sports Complex to give it a try!! Training takes place at the University Sports Complex every Monday and Wednesday at 7.30 sharp. New members, experienced and non-experienced, are welcome to join at any point of the season. Hi Niamh,
ya we’d love to see you out to training. You can definitely play with us for the college games anyway and im not too certain about the Connacht league games but im sure when you come to training the coaches will know more or if you prefer i can get in touch with them first for you! Hope to see you at training Mondays and Wednesdays.
